To Mike Tarsio. Are you the same Mike Tarsio that would bring his lunch and eat at my house (Coffey St.) with my brothers and I when we went to Visitation? If so that is the memory of you that I have. We used to laugh and joke around the whole lunch break. |

To Tommy Kennedy Hi Tommy I received your e-mail & I did responded back but never heard from you. I'm not very good with computers I probably did it wrong. Joe Radio doesn't have a computer any more. His mother died almost two months ago and I've been going over once a week to help him get his house in order. He always ask for you. Wants to know if your coming into Brooklyn this year. I'm still on Warren and buying a house in Red Hook just waiting for the c of o to come in. Hope to hear from you and also would like to see you when you come in. I have found some pictures of my self and of old friends from Baltic St. from the 60's, I have a scanner but I don't know how to use it. When my son comes home this weekend I'll see if he could do this for me. |

To Jim: I knew you were related to some family from my neighborhood, but couldn't remember which one. I remember the McMahons from the neighborhood though. I'm 52, the same age as Joe Walsh. If you're the same age as Regina Walsh, you should be about three years older than me and you must have gone to St. Peter's? My sister hung out with Eileen McMahon back in the day and I went to St. Paul's with a lot of the McMahon kids. I heard about Dennis passing away. I remember your mom helping out some guy who owned a sandwich shop for a while on Court Street across from Paddy's Pool Hall in the early '70s. I think your mother must have grown up in the Heights with my parents because she always knew me and stopped to talk to me. Was your mother Red's sister? I'll write more as I remember. |

hello tommy kennedy. you're 100% correct. i lived at 28 bergen st betw boerum & court but i moved outta there in 1964. so i'm sad to say it's probably closer to 40 yrs. regina walsh was in my class. how old are you 'cause you have to know my cousins that lived on warren. my cousins joe (chips), francis, bobby, gerald and dennis mcmahon lived directly across from the walshs'. they were children of my uncle joe and aunt loretta. my uncle red (edward) lived a couple of doors down on the same side as the walshs. he had a daughter by the name of eileen and a son edward. my grandfather lived over abe's on the corner. my other cousins thomas, patrick & susan lived over amando's on warren on the other side of court street. please send some additional details. |

Hey Jimmy Scully -- I remember you. You and your brother John used to hang out once in awhile around Warren St. and on Verandah Place. I lived on Warren between Court and Smith on the same block as the Walshes. I remember your mom too, she was a very nice lady. I've been in Vegas for the past 30 years. |

Hi again, Wow, with the number of responses, I think I need to clarify a few things. There were two Bob Sweginnis's - my Dad, who went to Brooklyn Tech High School, and my dad's cousin, who went to Visitation High School. At any rate, they had the same grandmother (the one with the liquor store), which is probably the reason things got a little confusing. Both have passed on - Visitation Bob in 2001 of a heart attack, and Brooklyn Tech Bob last year in a mid-air collision with his flying buddy. Thanks again for all the input. Teri |
